( I didn't know what to say!!!) I'm so sorry, baby!! It's ok (Baby??) I swear I won't do this again I know you won't, just calm down! (What the fuck am I doing?!) Can I come over? Sure! (What?!) Thanks baby, I'm coming over right now! (She sounded very happy now!) Alright (Tell her or not tell her?) I love you!!! (and hangs up!) Shit!!!!!! Oh well, I really wish I knew where she was going!!! I would love to see what happens!! Wednesday, October 11, 2006Life Preservers![]() Weapons designers and engineers created a host of experimental weapons as they sought to deal with the new perils of the world’s first Industrial Age war -- World War I. As one response to the U-boat threat during World War I, in April 1917 the U.S. Naval Training Station at Newport, R.I., experimented with kapok-filled mattresses that could double as life preservers if sailors had to abandon ship. Sunday, October 08, 2006Seasons ReturnIt is time for the return of the TV season. I just watched the first episodes of Lost, Smallville, and Prison Break. Still awaits 24 to be premiered in January. Those are my favorite TV shows so far. Prison Break, 24, Lost, Smallville. What is your favorite TV Show? Tuesday, October 03, 2006Ramadan SpiritIt has been ten days for Ramadan, and I have yet to see any positive Ramadan Spirit in Abu Dhabi. Don't get me wrong, But those guys use Ramadan as an excuse to their weird and rude behavior. I was standing in line in a mobile phone store, waiting to be assisted in purchasing a new mobile phone when this guy behind me started yelling at the guy behind the counter to hurry up. I turned around and told him to calm down and that the earth is not going to disappear. He pushed me and yelled at me and cursed at me. I smiled and asked him if he was fasting. Immediately he apologized and reminded me that he was indeed fasting and that he didn't mean what he said or did!!! I mean if you know that fasting will turn you into a moron, then why do you fast in the first place? I went to the mall, Abu Dhabi Mall, and there was not a single Ramadan decorations. Instead they were preparing for Christmas. I mean Christmas is not for another three months, and they are preparing it from now? I asked the guy who looked like he was in charge of the decorations about this and he said that Christmas decorations brings more shoppers to the mall than Ramadan's..... Of course, you don't want to be in the streets before Iftar. You will get murdered!! By drivers that can't hold their fasting any minute longer. During the night, the city is quiet. Very few will go to the mosque and pray the Taraweeh Prayer. Which is an extra prayer prayed only in Ramadan. But big amount of people will be chilling in the sheesha cafes watching Arabic Shows, which to tell the truth, is missed up. I don't like watching it at all because it is all about sadness, drugs, divorce.....Basically very low budget, badly acted, horribly directed drama. Then S'hoor time comes, the meal to prepare yourself for fasting, and the streets are full again. Crazy drivers that will not hesitate to run you over if you stand on their way and the restaurant. I know that this might not be in all the places in UAE, and not all the areas of Abu Dhabi, but so far, as this marks my first year for me in UAE, this Ramadan has been a disaster so far.... Just an excuse to behave inappropriate.
